DEC FTP Drag and Drop

To create a new FTP session from BevPak

Log into bevpak and go to tools (or ALT+D)

Hostname = dec

Username / pw = regular dec credentials

Local folder - map to users desktop and make sure it’s the local desktop not the onedrive desktop. Typically, the suggestion is to create a C:\tky directory and have the users use that as the staging area in/out of the FTP.

Host folder - leave as default - but most users who use this should know how to navigate to where they need to go.

Train them that they can create multiple FTP sessions if they have multiple destinations / usernames if they prefer

Then go to properties and change to text mode

Then go to confirmation/confirmation properties to double-check the defaults (pictured)

Then go to host properties: match the 3 check boxes below.

SAVE the session

If the user is getting a firewall error, please proceed to the second part of this article

Windows defender firewall, allowed apps, add an app, browse to SFTP - add, add, domain & private

Then windows firewall advanced settings, inbound & outbound, allow FTP executable
